Last week was an especially busy week around my house. I had a business commitment almost every night, it was also the week I needed to plan a party and my to-do list was about three pages long.
Needless to say I didn’t watch much television, so when I finally sat down long enough I was very surprised to see my DVR was 98% full. That’s when I did a little math, even if I fast forwarded through all the commercials I estimated it would take almost 40 hours to watch all the shows.
So here was all the time I has been looking for. All the time I needed to enjoy life a little more. I could have forty one hour calls with friends to connect or re-connect. I could have forty hours of walks with family members. I could have forty hours of time to read a novel just for the joy of reading or I could spend forty hours knitting the baby blanket for my sister’s first child.
It was surprising to see all that time laid out on the screen like that.
I deleted a little over half of the shows then turned off the television and went for an hour long walk, now what to do with the other newly discovered hours?
